It has a deep ruby colour, a nose of ripe forest fruits, a silky texture and a finish with hints of black tea, violet, and limestone minerality. Maturing very pleasantly, this Pinot comes from the Premier Cru 'Clos du Roy' vineyard in the village of Mercurey in the south of Burgundy.
