Objective: The purpose of this discussion is to clarify the current situation and obstacles in the implementation of non-degree (microcredit) education in universities and colleges, to identify opportunities, and to determine issues that should be reflected in the plan, rules, and standards for its proper development. To achieve this goal, the participation of stakeholders will be ensured, they will be given the opportunity to freely express their opinions, valuable suggestions and recommendations will be incorporated into future activities, and cooperation between the parties will be encouraged, while introducing the participants to the experiences of Mongolia and the European Union.
Expected outcome:
1. Participants will gain insights into EU best practices for micro-credential programs, including policies, strategies, and implementation models, and a clearer understanding of micro-credentials’ role in lifelong learning and workforce development.
2. Identification of gaps, challenges, and opportunities in the current micro-credential ecosystem in Mongolia and a roadmap for integrating micro-credentials into higher education and professional training.
3. Strengthening partnerships between universities, industry, and government bodies
4. Round tables to develop a draft of national and internal regulation on non-degree (micro-credit)
