Hardy Selvyt Reel BagReally nice old Hardy Selvyt bag with Rod in Hand logo. Ideally suited to a 3 3 8" or smaller reel ~ 4" dia, 4 1 4" high. No holes but some minor rust stains and ribbon has knots in it.
The wood spacer is a lovely mahogany
which balances the mass of the handle assembly and the clicker assembly
The tip section a straight as well as the butt
so the third one appears to have been added at a later date
Leonard Model 38 bamboo rod from the 1970s
and you can now enjoy hours of "easy" fishing
second guide up from the ferrule
The finish is perfect with no blemishes and the wraps show no signs of cracking
The 6-inch full wells grip has been treated with a coating of some sort
For sale here is a one-piece hexagonal bamboo rod built by Sam Carlson in the late 1950s after he purchased the Thomas Rod Company
