19th century Italian painting of a seated MonkThis is a really beautifully painted painting of what looks like a seated monk hearing the prayers or confessions of a girl. The size of the painting is very impressive and the quality of the work is very high. Its very hard to date as it has been re stretchered but 18th 19th century I believe. The subject is very thought provoking and because of the subtle colours and soft details it is very decorative as well. Height 124cm Width 93cm We can also

There is an element of collage with this as well as the fish has been stuck over one another

there are just a few small areas of repair closest to where the arm joins the back but other than that I believe the leather is pretty much original

When I visited Kate I saw the quality of her art and I wanted to showcase it and try give her a platform to maybe take a passion and hobby into a full time career

Supremely comfy and gorgeous to look at

The only thing to note is the legs have been re tipped which is fairly common to retain the seat height from years of use

This is a great piece of early European furniture

Comfy to sit and stunning to look at

This makes it very comfy and an ideal everyday chair
