Winston Perfect 2 7/8" Fly ReelFor sale here is a 2 7 8" Winston Perfect in unfished condition. Made by Hardy Bros. of England. Set up for left hand retrieve but can be easily converted by the user. Comes with its original pouch, box and papers. There are some very small and faint marks in the anodizing on the winding plate. I'm not sure how these got there, but it definitely wasn't from fishing as the reel foot is spotless. Capacity: DT2+110 20# DT3+90 20# WF3+100 20# DT4+45 20#

The script on the rod remains as clean and bold as the day it was written

The cigar grip measures 5 7/8" in length with only light soiling

There is some minor cracking in the varnish over some of the wraps

including a listing for the "Zane Grey Special" made by Hardy's and priced in 1927 at $750

The reel seat is a cap and ring slide band with a gunstock-quality mortised Circassian walnut insert

Original tube but no felt in the cap

Deluxe grade brown wraps with spiral accents at each guide

and is constructed of high quality

The Swiss-style ferrules are size 14/64 with a great fit
