Hardy Perfect 2 7/8" Fly Reel - 1930sFor sale here is a 2 7 8" Hardy Perfect with Dup. MKII check from the 1930s. Badged on the inside for retailer Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Co. Boston, Mass. Full length and unaltered smooth brass foot. Ebonite handle spins freely. Rim tensioner works perfectly. No cracks or corrosion. Fine mechanical condition. The original leaded finish is almost completely worn, leaving a smooth and bright appearance. The agate line guide is blemish free.

Has been fished and is in fair/good condition with honest wear but perfectly good mechanical functionality

Though labeled for a 5 weight line a DT4 might suit it as well

The rod features handsome flamed cane with exquisitely wrapped transparent

The only thing I could find on this was a little discoloration of the grip and a tiny amount of edge wear to the ring and the corner of the butt cap
