Inspired by Matts time in Scotland many years ago when his first passion, photography lead him to some truly stunning places. The rugged landscape of Scotland often softened with still Lochs or vast Glens. Not only are the designs inspired by the Scottish landscape but so are the colours. We have managed to get 4 late 18th early 19th century book plates and this one is of a hedgehog

Great colour to the timber and age related patina

With this quad frame really showcases the pages beautifully and lifts the colours of the flowers

these are also a lovely size making them ideal for everyday use but can be placed in corners of rooms to be decorative as well when not in use

Over the duration of its life it will be rapidly heated and then cooled on a number of occasions which causes the surface to break out in bursts of colour and then glaze over

The look is very impressive and elegant

the way the veneer has been placed really shows the quality of the work and care taken to make such an impactful finish
