Taylor's Special Quinta Vintage Port 1947The 1947 vintage was highly regarded. Four stars from M. Broadbent. 11 shippers declared it a vintage year, the other houses electing to release single Quinta's like this. Shipped and possibly bottled by Corney & Barrow. Typical blend, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cao, Tinat Roriz. 75cl bottle. Abv presumed 20% Bottle condition, capsule good with the details of the wine, no label. Wine level top shoulder.

Not much fruit left but there’s still plenty of bacon oil
A rather restrained nose with plenty of primary aromas: cassis
medium body with peppery spice
The original "Super Tuscan" and the first Italian wine to have its own DOC
1979 was a good vintage and can still drink well
Pomerol & Saint Emilion
but now sadly gone
