Chateau Batailley Vintage 2012A wine from the Borie Manoux stable and run, since 1961, by Emile Casteja. A traditional claret and a firm favourite of ours. A reasonably good vintage where the left bank Medoc's faired a little better than the right. Typical Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. 75cl Bottle. 1953 was an excellent vintage for the region and is now becoming quite rare
nothing off
Established in 1803 in Pommard
Seemingly still young with still some separation in the primary elements of the taste
Although the 1960 vintage was not one of the greats some good wines were produced
As a vintage 2005 was cooler than usual and the harvest was delayed to attain perfectly ripe tannins
