This gown was custom made in 1953 by Dorothea Gaines, Inc. a local seamstress to the elite brides of Lexington, KY. This wedding gown has all the bells and whistles. The skirt is a heavy white satin with a lovely, large train. The bodice is the same satin with heavily boned infrastructure and a stiff net structure over the hip to hold the peplum away from the body. The bodice is then overlaid
