Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Hot Water Jug, circa 1780 - 1800.A George III Old Sheffield Plate Hot Water, or Wine Jug with Fluted Detail, circa 1780 1800. Of baluster form and raised on a circular pedestal foot with beaded detail. The domed and hinged cover with beaded and fluted detail, terminating in a bud finial. Fluting to the lower half of the body, with a wooden loop handle. In very good condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Copper bleed around the spout area where there are traces of
5 cm width and 1 cm height
This piece is a trial piece originally catalogued for the museum (see sticker on base)
