The blued Swiss-style ferrules have a perfect fit and come with a fine brass ferrule plug
4 1/4" in diameter with a 1 1/8" spool width
1358 with a marked weight of 4 oz
Sam put together a number of these hex rods from blanks that came down with Thomas
one of the much-coveted models with the "plum" anodizing rather than jet black like the later models
Much heavier than any I've previously come across
No die stamp on the butt cap so this is a fairly early rod of mine
The diameter is 3 1/8" with a spool width of 3/4"
