In-N-Out Hollywood

In-N-Out HollywoodIve only been to this In N Out once, and with good reason. While I absolutely love their burgers, theyre known for being busy restaurants, and this location took it to another level. It felt like a fight to the death just to get a seat or maybe I just went at a hectic time. I went here before heading to a live taping of Jimmy Kimmel on Hollywood Boulevard, so the building holds some very fond memories for me.

By the time I’d fallen in love with LA and begun drawing its landmarks

The dramatic architecture and the many cats roaming around only added to the feeling

There’s a viewing spot right across the road where planes soar so close overhead

and I remember being completely mesmerised by the lighting

and it’s one of my favourite prints to reflect on as the years have passed

I only knew it through photographs

it made me realise that what I was creating could really resonate with people

but there was just something uniquely magical about those early trips

taking pictures from every bridge and loving how each view revealed a different arrangement of houses

I truly credit this as the print that started everything

Can you believe this is the oldest McDonald’s still standing today

just for the experience
