Pair of early 20th century Ash and Elm smokers chairsThese are a very stylish pair of early 20th century Ash and Elm smokers chairs. They have wonderful figuring to the seats and great patina to the arms. These are in solid condition and are ideal for everyday use. The only thing to note is the legs have been re tipped which is fairly common to retain the seat height from years of use. All solid and no other faults. This is a very well made and hugely decorative 20th century chopping board

The quality is very high and the overall condition is excellent

The strong glazes are caused by the smelting pots being regularly heated and then cooled which causes a reaction with what is being melted

A great overall piece of English country furniture

The hatch details across the surfaces is something I have not seen before

What is also a nice detail is the brass pull handles on their backs

It has a tilt top which I believe is mahogany on a solid oak base

It has a wonderful warm feel that makes it inviting as well as hugely decorative

The segmented mirror design makes this hugely decorative and it is a great size too

There is also a concealed bulb holder inside that would light up the body if you so wish but you don't have to
