Hardy Bougle Commemorative 1903 Limited Edition Fly ReelFor sale here is a Hardy Bougle Limited Edition fly reel commemorating the 1903 Hardy Bougle model. Near mint condition with faint use marks. Most of these marks are actually leather fuzz from the inside of the reel case. These reels were all made in England. This is serial number USA 934. Comes with original box, leather case, and paperwork. A fine reel that looks extremely classy on bamboo, glass, or graphite rod alike!
Modified full wells grip 5 7/8" in length
fine knurling throughout
Guide at top of butt is smaller than any on the mid section
one that will be of interest to the Leonard aficionado or lover of the Catskill tradition of rodbuilding
The action with the original tip is medium-fast with a good deal of authority from the butt
shallow dents in the box though it closes squarely and securely
The grip shows only very slight hand soiling
