There is tiny remnant of backing having been loaded on this reel but the reel itself has virtually no wear. A few smudges on the foot and one on the line guard but no scratches or scuff to the frame, side plates, etc. Agate line guard. This 4 1/4" reel winds true and the check is still very nice
