Hardy St. John Fly Reel and Spare SpoolFor sale here is a Hardy St. John fly reel in excellent++ condition and a spare spool in near mint condition. Two screw latch model. Right or left hand wind. Mechanically the reel is perfect. The reel comes with its original blue and cream zippered Hardy case. Both reel and spool come with likely unused fly lines.

The cigar grip is 6 3/8" in length with only light soiling

Capacity is a WF4 plus 25 yds of 20# backing

Rod bag with T&T literature from 22 Third Street

Mint condition with the exception of some extremely minor marks on the foot

It has a fairly small grip with a fixed fighting butt stamped with the "Schaff Rod Shop" logo

Reel comes with original grey Abel reel case and Scientific Anglers Ultra 2 WF-7F and backing in like new condition

The spool measures 2 1/4" in diameter with a width of 7/8"

As for the rod itself it sports lovely pot-belly style ferrules and hand-turned cap and ring hardware
