Carpenter and Casey 2 3/4" Reel

Carpenter and Casey 2 3/4" ReelA nice Carpenter & Casey trout reel, 2 3 4" diameter and set up for LHW. A spool width of 15 16" and I suspect this will hold a #4 or #5 line comfortably. Silver anodized spool and foot, with a black anodized spool and faceplate. Silver pillars and crank. Un ported spool and "Carpenter & Casey, Makers" etched in the faceplate and the serial number "106" etched into the foot. There are a few tiny scratches in one part of the rim but I see nothing else

Good overall condition with solid patina on the frame and spool with a few superficial scratches here and there

The tube is black crackle paint with a gold anodized aluminum collar and top and is stamped with the Kusse die stamp

The bottom of the pocket cap is stamped "RL Winston Rod Co" in a cartouche

3 3/8" diameter with a 3/4" spool width

line beautifully

The bag measures 11" x 5" x 5"

Mortised burl spacer and a nickel silver up lock screw lock reel seat with a hidden pocket cap

Clips for 80 flies but  filled with 60 "rat" series flies

The reel seat is Hoagy's unique down lock screw-lock with a double slant knurl on the nut
