Pair Of Italian Maiolica Albarelli Venetian Circa.1700A good pair 17th. 18th. Century Italian maiolica Albarelli or apothecary jars of dumbell waisted form, painted with blue foliage and figure St John the baptist within a cartouche, 22cm high. Some age use related chipping, One damaged and restuck. Probably Venice Ca. 1700.
Some slight mountstaining to no real detriment
trimmed to oval with areas of foxing and old worming

In 1775 he travelled to London establishing himself there

He is largely known for his topographical views and intimate figure studies
