HL Leonard Model 50DF Bamboo Rod 8' 3/2 #5For sale here is a pre fire Leonard Model 50DF bamboo rod 8 feet for a 5 weight line. One of the original tip sections is missing. The rod is in excellent condition. All sections are full length. The tip section has a slight set and there is one very small hook dig in the mid section, but I don't think it is serious enough to warrant a repair. Cap and ring over a butternut insert. Patent dates on butt section ferrule. Includes original factory bag

This rod is number 25 in a series of 300

Granger/W&M nickel silver patented up-locking reel seat works flawlessly and is free of dents or scratches

Darkly flame-tempered cane with transparent crimson wraps

The script remains clean and bold though there is a small area of wear

The wraps are the classic Payne brown tipped yellow with dark burgundy accents at the hook keeper and ferrules

The personalization done by for the original owner can be removed by a competent rod maker / restorer since it was inked over the original varnish
