The intense and tautly muscular middle weight plus flavors are even more refined if perhaps not quite as mineral-driven while delivering superb length on the balanced but markedly austere finish where a touch of cherry pit emerges

The firmness on the finish here is impressive

but it is worth noting that it was blasted off the table by its siblings in this issue's mini-vertical

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the vintage’s precociousness and front-end loaded

Somewhat unusually at this early stage

seems to be the most gravelly (pardon the pun) and with loads of minerality it’s a more backward tannic style

spice and a whiff of lavender

earth and game that exhibits discreet floral top notes that are trimmed in discreet wood nuances
