Amoeba MusicI never got the chance to visit Amoeba Music before it closed, but I made a point of going to the old building to pay my respects once it had shut its doors. The store was truly iconic, so many people spent their childhoods here discovering records and finding music that would stay with them for a lifetime. While theres a new location down the road, many fans say it just doesnt have the same magic as the original. Im glad I could capture the building

I  really wanted to capture the warmth and sense of home that Charles and Ray Eames created

I was teased about it before I’d even stepped off the plane

or even just loves visiting

taking in all the incredible mid-century modern homes

we decided to grab something to eat

I brought my favourite hat along

I’d recommend the double-decker burger they’re so well known for

a lesser-known hidden gem in LA designed by Frank Lloyd Wright

but didn’t get the chance to draw it until a few years later

run by a small family

but a little escape to somewhere warmer and full of possibilities

overlooking LA
