Julius Vom Hofe - Size 3 Platewind Fly ReelFor sale here is a Julius Vom Hofe Platewind fly reel size 3. Made for Abbey & Imbrie and stamped as such. 2 1 2" diameter and 1 1 16" wide spool. Fixed click check. The hard rubber is in fine shape with one small chip in the rim. Excellent overall condition. The spring is nice and strong and favors left hand retrieve.

Excellent original condition though the wraps could use a light varnish overcoat

and burgundy at the winding check and male ferrules

Cigar grip 6 1/8" in length with mild soiling and very light ridging in places

This medium action rod was one of those sold by Abercrombie and Fitch

which would have come from Edwards' shop in CT that sold what were described in the Weber catalog as replacement "top sections
