Orvis Box with Carded Flies from the early 1900s!!For sale here is a great collection of early Orvis carded flies. Twenty three flies on nine printed Orvis cards. The box measures 3 3 4" X 6 1 2". The flies and cards are in excellent and unused condition. The box is in very good condition with some edge wear.

Full length original foot attached with five rivets

Ted Simroe recently re-wrapped the silks on the rod because even though the rod had seen little use over its long life

The hardware is oxodized black and the reelseat spacer is a lovely piece of bird's eye maple

so can be fished either right or left hand retrieve
