Empty Vessel #6Knotwork LA was founded by Linda Hsiao in 2012, and is an evolving collection of handcrafted ceramic homegoods. Knotwork originally began as an outlet to identify work that was done during spare time, evenings and weekends with the desire to make beautiful useful things. Linda was born and raised in Orange County CA, studied industrial design at Pratt in Brooklyn and graduated 2004. She spent a decade in the eyewear industry until her desire to work

Established in 1913

it is the first of its kind in the outdoor-cooking niche to pair useful information with evocative photography of finished dishes and useful illustrations (such as how to pack a cooler and how to build a fire)

Her usual day when not in school was playing with the materials she found in nature around her: wooden sticks

Her work is primarily done in acrylic on panel and focuses on light and atmosphere

Leah Giberson was raised by artists deep in the woods of New Hampshire

started academic art training from her father when she was nine

Forms are flattened and fixed in place
