The overtly powerful and concentrated broad-shouldered flavors display almost painful intensity before culminating in an explosively long and very firmly structured finish where once again a hint of bitter cherry appears

This is notably ripe with its expressive and attractively cool nose of black cherry and raspberry

It's going to be interesting in 25 or 30 years' time to see which of these is the better wine

mineral-driven palate with firm yet polished tannins

This is not a big wine in the context of a Gevrey grand cru but it's balanced and classically styled

intense and overtly mineral-driven flavors where the supporting tannins are now mostly resolved though there is a hint of tannic edginess on the gorgeously persistent finish

This somewhat rustic effort is very Corton in basic character and a wine that's going to require patience
