Hardy Uniqua 4" Wide Drum fly reelFor sale here is a Hardy Uniqua wide drum reel, diameter 4". RHW. MKII check with spare non engageable. It's in excellent shape, both cosmetically and mechanically. No line grooves. The original ebonite handle spins freely as it should. The tensioner on this reel works great. Gear teeth and dual pawls are in great shape with very sharp points. Frame has knurled edges. Reel weighs 12. 4 oz. Original ribbed brass reel foot (straight and full length).

It features Hardy's Duplicated MKII check and ebonite handle which has aged to a very pleasing brown color

The grip has a good amount of hand soiling but the ferrule fits are excellent and I can find no problems in the varnish

Set up for right hand retrieve but can be easily converted to left

For sale here is a handsome leather rod tube 47" in length with a 1 9/16" diameter

"Marty Karstetter Maker" is stamped on the butt cap with some bluing loss

I think it should be worth at least double that in my opinion simply due to its rarity

The reel's adjustable drag settings work flawlessly and the drag is very nice and strong

with a replacement Payne label

Ferrule size is 13/64 and the fit is excellent
