Paul Young Perfectionist Bamboo Rod 7'6" 2/2 #4For sale here is a Paul H. Young "Perfectionist" Model 7'6" 2 2 4wt bamboo fly rod. Serial no. 4733. Made in 1979 most likely by Jack Young. The rod is in excellent+ original condition having only had one owner in its lifetime. All sections are full length and have never been repaired. The rod features the signature PHY mottle flamed look that appeals to so many. Deep mahogany wraps blend well for an understated look. Blued guides. Carbide stripping

5 1/2" cigar grip with some hand soiling

The rod is in excellent+ condition very sparingly used

and now wish I had at least one of them back

It has a nice fast progressive action

Bright nickel silver down-locking reel seat over a fine wood spacer

I cannot identify the top 2 flies but they are a hair wing and feather wing variation of each other

2-tip and built for what feels like an #8 line

A good working reel with plenty of value in the three spools and the lines on them

the latter with the Leonard pewter colored frost anodizing and a handsome brass top

This rod predates the tiger stripe flaming technique
