Lot 163 - Pair Of Antique 1/6th Plate Ambrotype Photographs Of Man And Woman Holding Books In Double Sided Thermoplastic Union Case, Note DamagePair of antique 1 6th plate ambrotype photographs depicting a man and a woman, likely a married couple, each posed holding a book. Housed in a double sided octagonal thermoplastic union case with oval cut brass mats and preservers. Case is in poor condition with split hinge and broken edge. The ambrotype of the man has a large crack running from top to bottom along the right side. Black varnish backing is flaking on both images.
