Norm’s

Norm’sIve been told that anyone who lives in LA, or even just loves visiting, has to eat at Norms at least once. Its practically a rite of passage. Im always talking about how much I adore classic diner food because it feels so uniquely American to me, and Norms absolutely lived up to the hype. I think I spent just as long photographing that iconic sign outside as I did actually eating my meal.

This print was inspired by a house I found in the iconic Las Palmas neighbourhood of Palm Springs

I’d wandered onto the grounds on a whim

because this piece became one of the most rewarding drawings I’ve worked on

It wasn’t just a house

I went here before heading to a live taping of Jimmy Kimmel on Hollywood Boulevard
