Her arms appear to be folded beneath robes. This photo is housed in a split union case with both halves of the case being present. It dates to the second half of the 1800s. This is a 1 9th plate ambrotype, meaning it measures approximately 2 x 2. 5 inches.

though there is some tarnishing in the steel
