Hardy Perfect 2 7/8" Fly ReelFor sale here is a 2 7 8" Hardy Perfect fly reel with Hardy's Duplicated MKII check mechanism. The majority of the original leaded finish (and lacquer) remains. The adjustable check is nice and strong and the milled tension screw works as intended. Gear teeth remain sharp. Ebonite handle spins freely. The ribbed brass foot is full length and unmolested. No cracks, chips, dings. A fine example!

we know of a very similar 8 1/2' rod made for Marion Lively in 1953 with also a 15 ferrule and a 5/64 tip top
