Perspective14x7 Oil on Canvas, Wood Frame. This piece came about in 2011 after a day spent exploring some Gulf Coast communities. I started the morning in New Orleans, LA and walked through neighborhoods still showing gaping wounds decaying from Katrina's damage, amazed at the palpable reality of the disaster even 6 years after the hurricane. I ended the evening in Ocean Springs, MS, feeding the town's pet roosters who were adopted when they arrived in Katrina's
The result was what appears as an elegant lady apparition
Once this was complete I couldn't escape the idea that someone wanted to peek around the corner of the doorway
