Lot 011 - Antique Wood Carved Folk Art Female Santos Saint Icon In Original Paint With Wear And Tear From Age, Circa Early 19th Century, 9-1/4" HPre Auction Notes: Paint and carved details on face and neck are almost completely worn away, severe pockmarks and wear to paint on face. Moderate wear to paint elsewhere. Arms have been broken off at the elbows.
It is marked with a date of 1846 and was published out of Currier's 33 Spruce Street
The overlay depicts what looks like a scene in Venice with a man operating a long boat approaching a dock where a woman waits

the frame is heavily worn and weathered
