Lot 093 - Pair of Antique Carved Wood Furniture Fragments with Acanthus Leaf Scrollwork and Central Rosette Motifs, 28-1/2" And 28-3/4" LTwo carved wood furniture fragments with acanthus leaf and scrollwork designs flanking central rosette medallions. Each panel features a symmetrical composition with curling foliage in relief. The panels are similar in design but not identical, consistent with hand carved work. Both have a dark aged patina throughout. General wear consistent with age is present on both panels, with minor losses and surface abrasion to the carved edges.

Handwritten labels on masking tape on the reverse identify several species including Large Wood Nymph (male)

with areas of exposed substrate visible

The work is signed in red at lower left

" The second verso reads "21 inches high / weights 37 pounds / 24 years old

The case covering shows wear with losses at the corners and edges

Outer circular border exhibits multiple cracks and losses

The case closes with a flap and snap closure system
