The GKTECH V Naoki Nakamura N-Style braided brake lines are a direct replacement of the factory lines and are stronger (read: more reliable) than the factory rubber lines which are prone to breaking but they also eliminate the spongy feel of the standard brake lines

It makes sense to have it there as the OEM plug is not magnetic and will not bring anything to show and tell

Will not fit Z34/V36 and may not fit with aftermarket wheel bearings

The alternative is to shave an old spanner down to around 5mm in thickness
