The mined out 'thunder egg' deposits didn't yield much material

This flat-backed cabochon is rich in blues and a touch of glitter in it's layers

less commonly in wood

Whilst these agates are not rare in Iran

This stone is still currently being mined but it has been increasingly difficult to find the material containing the bluish/purple hues with the lovely black dendrites and so now if considered rare material
