The DOMANI consortium held a three-day in-person partner meeting and writeshop from 11\u201313 August 2025<\/strong> in Budapest, Hungary<\/strong>, hosted at Central European University (CEU)<\/strong>. The meeting brought together key project stakeholders to coordinate progress across work packages and agree on strategic decisions related to competency development, quality assurance, microcredentials, mentorship, and dissemination.<\/p>

  • Participants: 22 – WP leaders and representatives from partner universities, quality assurance bodies, and invited experts<\/li><\/ul>

    • expert input on QA expectations<\/li>
    • and structured co-design sessions.<\/li><\/ul>

      Day-by-Day Highlights<\/strong><\/p>

      Day 1 \u2014 Work Package Updates & Mentorship<\/strong><\/p>

      The first day focused on coordination, WP updates, and operational alignment.<\/p>

      Key outcomes:<\/strong><\/p>

      • External QA Officer introduced and QA expectations clarified<\/li>
      • WP2, WP3, WP5 and WP6 presented progress updates<\/li>
      • Partners discussed mentorship models, enrollment systems, and microcredential templates<\/li><\/ul>

        Decisions taken:<\/strong><\/p>

        • External QA Officer confirmed<\/li>
        • Partners to nominate local QA focal points<\/li>
        • WP3 assigned to develop microcredential templates and guidelines<\/li>
        • WP6 tasked with drafting local dissemination plans<\/li><\/ul>

          Day 2 \u2014 Competency Framework Development<\/strong><\/p>

          Day 2 was dedicated to the structured development of the DOMANI Competency Framework.<\/p>

          Partners reviewed and drew inspiration from:<\/p>

          • Systems Innovation frameworks<\/li>
          • DIGCOMP<\/li>
          • GREENCOMP<\/li>
          • ENTRECOMP<\/li><\/ul>

            Through breakout groups and co-design sessions, the consortium drafted an initial framework including 32 competencies and agreed on a prioritised structure.<\/p>

            Decisions taken:<\/strong><\/p>

            • Adopt K\/S\/A format for each competency<\/li>
            • Confirm framework structure:
              1. Sustainability Mindset & Systems Thinking<\/li>
              2. Digital Competence & Communication for Sustainability<\/li>
              3. Collaboration & Action<\/li>
              4. DOMANI thematic cluster<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ul>

                Day 3 \u2014 Validation & Refinement<\/strong><\/p>

                The final day focused on testing the framework against practical use cases and refining the competency list.<\/p>

                Key feedback included:<\/p>

                • ensuring tool categories remain flexible for different curricula<\/li>
                • adding competency levels\/proficiency expectations<\/li>
                • strengthening Cluster 3 with piloting\/prototyping and resource management elements<\/li><\/ul>

                  Decisions taken:<\/strong><\/p>

                  • Reorder Cluster 2 to prioritise Data Literacy<\/li>
                  • Combine Digital Ethics & Security<\/li>
                  • Add Piloting & Prototyping to Cluster 3<\/li>
                  • CSI to consolidate and circulate framework v1.1<\/li><\/ul>

                    Action Points and Follow-Up<\/strong><\/p>

                    • CSI to circulate consolidated Competency Framework v1.1<\/li>
                    • Partners to map 1\u20132 representative courses against prioritised competencies<\/li>
                    • WP3 to draft mentorship institutional guideline template<\/li>
                    • WP5 to support partners with mapping templates and piloting preparation<\/li><\/ul>

                      The Budapest consortium meeting strengthened collaboration and ensured alignment across DOMANI partners. By finalising key structural decisions and clarifying responsibilities, the consortium laid a strong foundation for the next phase of project implementation\u2014particularly in competency piloting, microcredential delivery, and quality assurance.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
