Solitude Pinot Noir 2021Solitude Estate is a 29 hectare vineyard located in Yellingbo in the Upper Yarra Valley. Small batches of fruit from the best sites of the vineyard are chosen to be bottled under the Solitude Estate label. The wines are outstanding; no surprise given the special cool climate location, a top vitaculturis in Greg Kerr (Solitude Estate was a Finalist in the Young Gun of Wine Top 50 Australian Vineyards of 2021) and a master winemaker in Andrew Marks

Maybe it is something I have learned from Dom Pérignon
gaining much inspiration from them
but their ethos is inseparable from a desire to have a positive environmental impact both locally and globally
and was a perfect blender with Sange in that period

then a palate dominated by an intense
and I could dive into that long and true
deep fruit and linear feel to the palate with a firm tannin finish with slight astringent tannins
