Chateau Gazin Vintage 1960This well respected Pomerol estate produces a lovely Merlot dominated wine. Between 80 and 95% depending on the vintage. The property has been in the same ownership for five generations, since purchased in the early 20th century. The 1960 vintage was a good one, but being wedged between 1959 and 1961, two of the best vintages of the 20th century, it was largely ignored and receives little press these days. Now becoming rare. The wine was awesome
Enjoyed this but I've had 70s that were in better shape than this
years of aging to fully develop
5 hectare parcel of vines with great terroir
Medium garnet colour
label and bottle bin soiled
but some lovely wines were made
most famously associated with Domaine Robert Groffier
Bottle condition excellent and boxed indervidualy
