2nd gen XTerra Vent Cover | OEM UpgradeThe OEM covers typically break within a year or two after the vehicle was made. They originally are designed to let air out similar to an airplane releasing pressure when you shut your door or at high elevation. They also give the hot air when you are running your AC somewhere to go. But as time goes on the OEM ones get stuck open due to dirt or mud, leaving a big hole for dirt and debris to enter. All of our vent covers offer a charcoal filter option
