Dussack

DussackThe Dussack is a strongly cut focused sword, with a complex guard to protect the hand. Though these swords are often called a cutlass in sources, we have used the term Dussack, as ours are modelled off a type of hilt called a 'Sinclair hilt', as opposed to a dish hilt, which is what most people think of, when imagining a cutlass. Sinclair hilts are a kind of half basket, offering excellent protection to the hand, and a good amount of weight to help

But when made for a wealthy knight

Often with a triangular or square cross-sectioned blade that isn't sharpened

as their fighting style was focussed on closing distance and delivering powerful cuts

and the disc pommel makes it uncomfortable to point with the tip
