1980's Westminster Japan Jazz Bass (Sunburst)

1980's Westminster Japan Jazz Bass (Sunburst)Made by the famous Matsumoku factory in Japan during what seems to be the early 1980's, this is a Westminster branded jazz bass that's modelled of the 70's Fender aesthetic. Featuring block inlays and cream binding on the rosewood fingerboard, this one has a really tidy three tone sunburst finish and weighs a very reasonable 3. 4kg's. Recent setup and basic service and it's playing well. Frets are polished and the fretboard was oiled.

This one's in well loved vintage condition with some paint bubbling and cosmetic blemishes as pictured

This SG-700 was a mid range model in the 1977 release and is a step up from the entry level models in specs

The loser of a previous owner thought they'd be super cool and attach a rubber "black diamond" plate on the top and swapped out the original strap buttons for strap locks so they didn't drop it (but they clearly dropped it anyway as there's chips on the horns)

these were built with an ash body
