I switched off the engine and listened

It still amazes me how well they navigate through the ice

doing very long dives in all directions

a few feet above the water

I stopped to have some tea and not long after could hear but not see

each specialising in different prey

I snapped this shot just before I watched this male killer whale disappear over the horizon

I added a fresh battery and then set up the time lapse setting which I normally use for astrophotography
