1960s Alvar Aalto for Artek White Laminate Childs or Side / Occasional TableListed for sale is a rare L Leg Children's table, designed by Aino and Alvar Aalto, produced by Artek. The table retains an original label from Scandinavian Designs in New York, a showroom that was well known for selling sought after Scandinavian furniture by Aalto, Bruno Mathsson, and others. This example dates to circa mid 1960s and came from the estate of Howard A. Smith in New York City. The table was acquired along with seven N65 child's chairs,

The base measures 27

The chrome plated base is in very good condition and is free of any unexpected or noteworthy surface rust

in the manner of the Ari Lounge Chair designed by Arne Norell We acquired it in original condition and had a masterful upholstery shop in the NYC area completely reupholster both the belting leather straps and cushions at a considerable expense

There are some scratches to the bottom of the base as noted in the photos

multiple prototypes are available from different Schultz designs

it appears that Georg Jensen also sold Tage Poulsen works from their showrooms

Each table measures 78 x 48 x 28

The condition overall is terrific and top is nicely preserved

There is some very light surface corrosion to the frame as to be expected for a 1950's piece

The color combination is gray mesh with a gray seat and a white frame

Listed for sale is an all original Eames designed leg splint produced by Evans Molded Plywood Division in 1942 for WWII
