1990 Set of Three Mart Stam for Thonet Bauhaus Dining Chairs in OakListed for sale is a set of three cantilever dining chairs with arms, produced by Thonet and presumed to be designed by Mart Stam. Thonet is a historically important furniture company, which had originally produced a number of innovative designs derived from the Bauhaus. This set was acquired from a Syracuse, New York estate. The chairs have chromed steel frames with oak veneered plywood seat, back, and arms. Many of the tubular designs of this nature
finished in Brazilian rosewood
The table uses dramatically-grained and sherry finished walnut in its construction
