1950s Pair of Walnut and Steel Headboards by George Nelson for Herman MillerThis is a pair of walnut and steel frame twin headboards, designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in the 1950s. The walnut is finished on both sides, and the outer steel frames are enameled in white. These are part of George Nelson's Steel Frame series, introduced in 1954. Each headboard measures 2 inches deep, 38 inches wide and 30 inches high. The walnut has been properly maintained throughout its lifetime, and appears to be in nice original
Listed for sale is a circa 1956 vintage Armoire designed by Henry P Glass and produced by the Fleetwood Furniture Company
The top surface of the shelves is birch veneer
and is upholstered in its original Knoll "Pearl" white bouclé fabric
This example has a production date
and a generous seat pad that is upholstered in a black fabric
originally designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto in 1937
