The Fresh AIR 2026 Hackathon was held in Ukraine

As part of the Erasmus+ project “DOMANI – Development of Micro-Qualification Ecosystems in Ukraine and Mongolia for a Competitive and Sustainable Green Economy,” students from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv participated in the Fresh AIR 2026. 

The hackathon was organized by the NGO “Ukrainian Joint Meteorological and Hydrological Society” (Oleg Shabliy) and held April 2–4 2026 in a hybrid format at Odessa Polytechnic National University.

Four teams from universities partnering on the DOMANI project participated in the hackathon:

     1. KKNU – Green KaMinds (Team members: Dmytro Dolya, Daria Radchenko, Anastasia Shevchenko, Denys Pegashev)

     Project name: AgroImpact AI

     Mentor: Alina Hrechko

 

     2. KKNU – Karazin EcoPunk (Team members: Neonila Viktorova, Dmytro Laptev, Glib Parshukov, Karina Redko).

     Project title: S.E.N.S.E. (Smart-Energy & Noise Surveillance Ecosystem)

     Mentor – Svіlana Burchenko

 

     3. TSKNU – MeteoShield. (Team members: Oksana Sklyar, Denys Savchenko, Anna Budenna, Diana Brylova).

     Project title: AquaFire climate system.

     Mentor: Yulia Yatsenko.

 

     4. TSKNU – GreenX. (Team members: Artur Lukashevych, Mykola Stavnychy, Denys Dyachuk, Oleksandra Danylina).

     Project title: GreenX—where data becomes action.

     Mentor: Ivan Kostyrko.

Anastasia Klieshch, Olga Shevchenko, and Nadiya Maksymenko were responsible for the overall coordination of the selection process and preparations for the hackathon. The teams demonstrated a high level of creativity and innovative thinking, presenting diverse solutions that combine modern technologies, artificial intelligence, and practical value. Each project stood out for its unique approach to solving pressing problems, its focus on real-world application, and its potential for scalability.
